Victor Zsasz, a Gotham City serial killer, is a prominent antagonist in DC Comics, primarily within the Batman mythos. Once a wealthy businessman, Zsasz lost everything to gambling, leading him to believe life is meaningless and all people are already "zombies."

Driven by this nihilistic philosophy, Zsasz murders his victims to "free" them from their pointless existence. After each kill, he marks his own skin with a tally mark, a physical representation of his crimes and a haunting reminder of the lives he has taken.

Zsasz is typically depicted as highly intelligent and manipulative, possessing a chilling calm demeanor. He often targets seemingly random victims, blurring the lines between method and madness. His lack of superhuman abilities makes him a terrifyingly human threat to Batman and the citizens of Gotham.

His first appearance was in Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1 (June 1992).
